Short But Sweet, Muay Thai at Chaweng Stadium

6 Months of training Muay Thai in Koh Samui

Tuesday 1 August – The first day of the month and as they say, “A Pinch, A Punch, For the First Day of the Month” and resident Samui Fight House Muay Thai fighter Miguel Araya from Chile certainly doled out the punches last night.  Fighting at Chaweng Stadium,  he made short work of his opponent.

The first round saw the fighters trading a flurry of blows, with each fighter landing some solid punches. To the crowd’s delight, the pace increased further in the second round. Each fighter left their corner and immediately sought to land knees, body blows and hooks.  A cracking right hook from Miguel sent his opponent to the ground but showing his fighting spirit, he clambered back up.  Although he managed to land a right jab into Miguel’s body, it wasn’t enough. A short ten seconds after climbing back to his feet, he was on the receiving end of a thunderous right hook from Miguel which ended the fight, similar to his previous fight.
